Gogogic Receives Grant for “Rupture: A Collectable Card Game”

December 14, 2009

On December 10th 2009, Gogogic was formally awarded a grant for 400.000 DKK (just shy of $80.000) from the Nordic Game Program.

This is the second time in a row that Gogogic receives this grant so we feel extremely proud and happy. Like with Vikings of Thule, we think the grant will allow us to create yet another innovative gaming experience.

The grant is specifically tied to the development of a collectable card game for both the iPhone and Facebook, which currently goes by the working title of “Rupture”. The game is set to launch in the summer of 2010. It won’t be long until we leak more information, shiny teasers and some wild concept art.

2007 – A Brief Summary

January 10, 2008

2007 was an amazing year for us at Gogogic. Everything seemed to click just right. We grew from 3 people in January, to 9 people in December. We were successful in every aspect of our business, which was reflected in very happy clients and high praise for our work. We were also able to lay down further plans for our internal development efforts and I suspect that we’ll be announcing something cool pretty soon 🙂

In 2007 we also got better at utilizing our tools – Flash, Photoshop, SmartFox, Java, .NET, etc.  The projects we took on grew ever more ambitious and exciting. In November and December we closed a couple of contracts for projects that will definitely allow us to have a lot of fun and go creatively wild. We can’t wait to show off the results!

With just over 24.000 games played between December 21st and December 31st, our Jólagógó game gave us a very positive push into 2008. So far, the first few days of the new year have been promising. We’re looking forward to see where we’ll be able to go over the next 12 months!
